Syrians, who participate in the National Dialogue Congress in Sochi, have received from Russian Federation statuettes symbolizing friendship between the two nations, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Monday. The Kremlin has downplayed expectations of the event, with presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov telling journalists Monday that "breakthroughs in the task of political regulation in Syria are hardly possible". The U.S. says Nord Stream 2 will allow the Kremlin to use energy as a "political tool". Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said Poland wanted US help in stopping Nord Stream 2, which is being built by Russian gas giant Gazprom PJSC. Poland, which spent four decades under Soviet rule, has been an European Union member since 2004. Tillerson, speaking to reporters after meeting with Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Saturday, said Europe should seek to diversify energy supplies. (more...)

"Actually the response time was quick, the firefighting equipment was their but unfortunately they did not have water". Snow showers, even some periods of light snow, are expected Tuesday morning through the afternoon. We stay dry but cold on Tuesday . As we wake up Monday , we'll see more cloud cover rolling into town. Sunshine works in Friday , with another burst of cold air. Colder air will build in overnight into Friday however as the cold front pushes to our south and east and an area of low pressure develops to our south and tracks northeastward along the front. This latest attack is more evidence that victory for the United States and the Afghan government over the Taliban insurgency is far from close. A New York Times report has uncovered a new aspect to the carmaker's infamous "Dieselgate" scam which had put it down by $26 billion in September 2015. "We explicitly distance ourselves from the study". German carmakers on Saturday condemned the use of animals in the experiment.
