Voting rights advocates said it was unusual for the Justice Department to send such a broad letter to so many states and anxious that the department was preparing to force states to kick people off the rolls. The state of OH appealed the decision, and the Supreme Court agreed in May to review it this fall. Victoria Best posted photos and video of the incident on Facebook, which has been shared almost 60,000 times. As of Tuesday morning, the video has been viewed more than one million times. The White House did not respond to questions about why Mr Trump retweeted the story or whether he was confirming the information. The S&P GSCI Energy Total Return index rose 8.1% last month, the best July performance since 2004 according to S&P Dow Jones Indices. Demand had been a driving force in a late July rally in crude oil prices . Nigeria is also boosting output as a militant campaign is quelled, according to Gulf News. The cuts in allocations are in line with Saudi Arabia's commitments with the OPEC-led supply reduction pact, under which the top oil exporter is required to cut 486,000 bpd. (more...)
