German pilots at Ryanair are to go on strike for four hours on Friday, their Vereinigung Cockpit union said, following what the union described as an unsatisfactory meeting with management at the Irish low-priced carrier. The US has strongly condemned a ballistic missile attack over Riyadh which Saudi Arabia claimed was launched from Yemen by Iran-backed Houthi rebels, saying such actions threaten regional security. The attack came as the Houthis marked 1,000 days since the Saudi-led coalition began military operations in Yemen in March 2015 after the Iran-aligned group drove Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi into exile. US Ambassador Nikki Haley , in a letter to dozens of UN states on Tuesday seen by Reuters, warned that the United States would remember those who voted for the resolution criticising the US decision. The Palestinian permanent observer at the UN, Riyad Mansour, said he hoped there would be "overwhelming support" for the resolution. The cyberattack crippled hospitals, banks and other companies worldwide, including parts of the UK's National Health Service. The Indian Air Force intends to buy 83 Light Combat Aircraft ( LCA) Tejas MK1A from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited ( HAL ), according to a tender issued to HAL, as the sole source for the indigenously developed and built aircraft. IAF had earlier placed orders for a total of 40 Tejas aircraft and the latest order will take total orders for the indigenous fighter jets to 123.
