Human rights groups and opposition parties are furious about the transcript, which they say exposes massive holes in the U.S. refugee deal. The U.S. Army has released names of two paratroopers who were killed near Kandahar, Afghanistan, on Wednesday, Aug. Jeremy McQueary was killed in action in 2010. Telus tweeted that they were looking into the "root cause" of the network issue in the Maritimes and directed customers to a service status page for updates. In the meantime, the service outages are preventing local emergency services from communicating with the public as well as personnel. It appeared to be affecting emergency communications in some parts of the region, and people are being advised to try non-emergency numbers to contact emergency services if 911 doesn't work.
