The project build the railway was launched in 2007 with an agreement between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. Passenger services are also planned to start along the route next year, including sleeper-car services between Baku and Istanbul. The BTK railway project brings together the cultures of the Eurasian continent, said the letter.
