The decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans comes almost a month after a lower judge blocked most of the law signed in May by Republican Gov. The small border town of El Cenizo began a legal fight to invalidate the law days after it was signed, only to be joined by almost every major Texas city, including Austin, in a lawsuit that remains pending in Garcia's court. The course, according to the Marines, "trains and educated newly selected infantry and ground intelligence officers in leadership, infantry skills, and character required to serve as infantry platoon commanders in the operating forces". Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar urged the Government to be "more specific" about relations once the United Kingdom is no longer a member of the European Union , following a meeting with Prime Minister Theresa May . Mr Varadkar said the two leaders were in a "shared space" on trying to get the Northern Ireland Executive up and running again.
