The maximum sustained winds at the time of landfall were near 165 miles per hour with higher gusts. Although the latest tracks do show Maria being downgraded to a Category 4 just before she arrives in Puerto Rico , it is entirely possible that she could retain her strength and reach Puerto Rico ...
