The dogs are being flown to Capital City Airport in Lansing through the Humane Society of the United States Emergency Placement Program, which has gradually moving dogs to make room for animals displaced by the hurricane. 138 local cats and dogs have been moved to no-kill animal shelters in MI and Wisconsin. While they work on temporary fixes, they are asking for the community's help in the form of a financial contribution to help them repair the damages caused by Hurricane Irma. (more...)
