Dupree first arrived in the Afghan capital in 1962 as the wife of a USA diplomat. Several years later, she met Louis Dupree, a celebrated USA archaeologist in Afghanistan. After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, Dupree was forced to leave the country, but instead, she moved to a refugee camp in Peshawar in Pakistan to help Afghan refugees. (more...)

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after three worshippers were stabbed in a packed church. Authorities say a 24-year-old man has been arrested in a fatal stabbing in Magna of a man known to the suspect. I counted seven police cars and distressed worshippers.
