Andy Grimm "had his camera in his grasp" when he was shot in his side by a Clark County sheriff's agent in New Carlisle , which north of Dayton, The New Carlisle News said in a Facebook post. A year ago around 45,000 walkers made the five mile trek across the bridge. "We do realize for some people it takes longer so we will be sending a bus out there at about 11:30 a.m. The bridge authority will set up rest stations with snacks and drinks. On Monday shortly after noon, police tweeted that a crash occurred at the intersection of Robert Street and Butler Avenue. Firefighters responded to the area of 196 Maple Ave. Officials said a State Patrol reconstruction team would try to figure out what happened and why. After the crash, the man was transported to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was pronounced dead. (more...)

Thick smoke and flames could be seen pouring out of the structure. State police said once the fire was out, crews found the bodies of a pregnant woman and her 5-year-old and 2-year-old children. "We came out, and the whole house from the bottom, from the floor, all the way up from front to back was nothing but flames", said Ashley Neider.
