Two Black Hawk crews were conducting training between Kaena Point and Oahu's Dillingham Airfield when communications were lost, officials said. Kaena Point is northwest of Honolulu . Eyewitnesses have reported seeing "thick black smoke" billowing from the hangar understood to be at the far end of the runway at Southend Airport.
