Hilinski was the second-string quarterback for WSU and was expected to be the starter for the 2018-2019 season. A pursuing police vehicle with flashing lights videoed the animal's steady bounding before police officers captured him near the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and wrangled him into a horse float, police said. The wallaby was taken to Taronga Zoo for a veterinary assessment where it is recovering in an intensive care hospital enclosure.
