An average Atlantic hurricane season produces 12 named storms of which six become hurricanes, three of them major. Of these, one to four are predicted to become major hurricanes. According to the environment ministry, the 100 litre spill came from a flow metre at about 5 a.m. and was contained to the station site. A statement issued by the oil company said "internal safety systems" alerted workers to the "operational disruption" early Sunday morning and in response, the station was isolated and the main Trans Mountain pipeline was shut down. Environment Canada is advising anyone with symptoms to go indoors and reschedule any strenuous outdoor activities until the statement is lifted. Leslie Bean, Alan Bean's wife of 40 years, said her husband was the strongest and kindest man she ever knew. Alan Bean, a former US Navy test pilot, was selected by Nasa as a trainee in 1963. "He said he hoped to capture those experiences through his art". Alberto is expected to make landfall early Monday morning near Mobile Bay in Alabama. It's expected to gradually strengthen over the next three days. A subtropical storm is one that has not acquired full tropical characteristics at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, but like this system, some develop outside of that period. The outlooks do provide decent generalized projections of storm numbers based on conditions in the tropics, and it makes sense that the more storms, the greater the chances for storm impacts. Now, imagine that happening with a drill you're controlling from 60 million miles away. Developed by engineers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory ( JPL ) in Pasadena, California, the novel drilling technique is called Feed Extended Drilling (FED) and was tested for the first time on the Red Planet over the weekend. They prey on other, smaller earthworms, stunning them with toxins. Trooper Rick Johnson told Q13 the driver would receive a citation for negligent driving. The feathers have been reportedly being transported from Foster Farms. Tacoma-based News Tribune newspaper reported traffic being backed-up for 11 miles (18 kilometers) as crews scooped up the feathers, which were strewn across the road, metal barrier and central reservation area.
