Major Retailers Rip Off Consumers – Cyber Monday
Daily News & Trends recently received the following email regarding major retailers like Walmart.com and Bestbuy.com faking Black Friday & soon possibly Cyber Monday online deals – read below and let us know what you think.
Message below is printed verbatim:
So, the night before Black Friday I decided to see the great “online only” sales. According to those websites that claimed you can ONLY get these online (not available at stores) at a certain time are full of it. I’m on PST and the deals were to take place at either 1am EST or 3am EST.
I went online at 9pm/2100 hrs PST. So, in the grand scheme of things I was early, correct? Well as I sat on my laptop from 9pm to about 12am looking for all of these wonderful (non-existent advertised price) items, I could purchase for our one income (not by choice)family. Yes, I was planning on purchasing 5 big ticket items after seeing the prices. Now, I don’t even want to.
They must think we all just landed from outer space..sorry, that would be a NO!
Quite amusing to see that all of these wonderful affordable things were SOLD OUT….let me repeat myself- SOLD OUT, at 9pm PST. This is not a joke and I can back it all up because I was wise enough to print the screen. Is it just me or does anyone else see that some kind of scam was/is occurring????
I stayed online to see if it had anything to do with the time difference…no luck there either. So, to Walmart.com and Bestbuy.com you are both given an F for your failure to your online shoppers with your bogus deals.
These are not deals but a scam to make you want to buy the product at a higher price then they had advertised. yes, smart shopper here!!
These prices can’t be beat?!?…oh yes they can. I will not be making those purchases and many others will follow suit. Watch and see.
Here I thought that false advertisement was wrong and or against the law (at the very least, unethical)…lesson learned, can’t trust retailer’s. The bigger the retailer, the less ethical they are.
Shame on you both, for doing this to people that really wanted to buy something that was affordable for Christmas..guess we’ll just celebrate Festivus for the rest of us.
Both companies are more than welcome to contact me at jamshilo2004@yahoo.com —Trust me, I will turn this very viral so that everyone will know about your unethical business practices…youtube and I know that you are aware of all the other consumer sites as well.
I will be posting/blogging about this for all come Monday morning. I am a stay at home mom and I have time on my hands! Happy Festivus!!!
