According to data from Bloomberg Inteligence , Instagram would be worth $100 billion if it were a standalone company. The photo-sharing platform, which reached 1 billion monthly active users earlier this month, will likely help nudge Instagram revenue past US$10 billion over the next 12 months, Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Jitendra Waral wrote in a report Monday. While iOS 12 does have a lot of new features to play with, just be mindful of software bugs. The main feature of iOS 12 is a performance improvement, especially for older devices . The public beta will be supported on all iPhone , iPad , and iPad Touch models that can now run iOS 11 . Mozilla also includes ad blocking in Firefox for Android though the feature is only activated while browsing with in-private tabs. Samsung Android users can also install Adblock extensions to block ads in Samsung's browser. Google previously unveiled its own ad blocking in Chrome for Android , but it's not as aggressive as Adblock Plus and most ads aren't blocked on the majority of sites. (more...)

The company is now adding a small string of metadata in apps' APKs that will help Google ensure that the app is authentic and side-loaded on a phone sans the official Play Store. But, it will allow those apps to be added to the user's Play library and receive updates normally. At the moment it seems that the tech giant Google is only "exchanging" this idea to developers, not to the end users of Android, although it is something that will be very beneficial for both parties. China's Hainan island has proposed allowing foreign visitors access to censored websites such as YouTube and Facebook, a double standard that has raised cries of indignation from the country's internet users. Matthew Hickey , a security researcher and co-founder of cybersecurity firm Hacker House , recently discovered a way to bypass some of Apple's security measures meant to keep malicious actors out of devices.
