There are two ways to report the observed birds this year. Get your binoculars ready for the 21st Great Backyard Bird Count , which will take place February 16-19. Anywhere there's a pond, lake or river is a good place to look for birds. Anyone can simply tally the numbers and kinds of birds one sees for at least 15 minutes on one or more days of the count. There are tools out there that can do exactly what we're asking for.
