They are the cause of several infections including the common cold, respiratory tract infections, pink eye, diarrhea, bronchiolitis and pneumonia. Inspectors from the Department of Health have visited the center and are providing infection control and cleaning procedures. Six children below the age of 5 were diagnosed with measles in Brooklyn, health officials said Wednesday. Of the kids affected in Brooklyn, one has since been sent to the hospital with pneumonia and another one has had an ear infection as a result of measles. (more...)
