Now that the excitement of the Black Friday sales die’s down. We have the next most exciting day of our shopping year ahead of us, Cyber Monday sales!

Cyber Monday deals started in 2005, and refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday each year. It is the start of the holiday online shopping season in the United States , and falls between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This day is the busiest day for online retailers from flower delivery to computer sales, everything is up for offer.
Although with this financial climate and the drop in retail sales ( approximately 1% on last year,) shoppers are still on the hunt for a good buy.

This year, experts are suggesting the best Cyber Monday deals for 2009 will be found early on Monday morning online, and right after the click of midnight. As the retail industry are trying to expand the sales over the whole day rather than part.

They are also suggesting one of the most popular methods to search for online buyers, is for the consumers to google for available coupon codes to add onto already heavily discounted items.

There is a lot of competition between the retailers such as Kmart, Walmart and Amazon, and this year is no different .They will all be trying to offer the best online deals on Cyber Monday.

This is especially since the increase in sales the day brings. Mark Guarino said ” Between 2005 and 2008, Cyber Monday sales increased 74 percent, beating the 60 percent revenue increase for other days that have been online sales record holders for the holiday season” Mark Guarino reported in the Monitor.

The retailers hope to entice people on line, who may have been instore on the Black Friday but didn’t have the time to buy to go online and make that purchase.

The National Retail Federation, expect from now till the end of the year that the holiday sales will drop for the second year in a row, although only one percent compared to 2008’s 3.4 percent slide.

Some of this years biggest bargains come from such retailers as Dell who are offering an Inspiron Mini 9 for $299, with free shipping!

You also have the big retailers such as Walmart who are doing great deals this year on notebooks, there you can get a Compaq CQ50-139QM for $498 and they will even throw in a free HP printer , carry case and an 8GB USB flash drive. What a steal!

And over at Best Buy, who have been showing some great discounts throughout the holiday sales season, are offering an ACER AL2216Wbd 22 inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD HD Monitor for $169.99 they will also ship for free.

Free shipping is a big seller this year with Best Buy also offering it on laptops over $699.99 and home desktops $499.99 and up.

This really seems to be an amazing year for technology. Computers, DVDs and digital camera prices are all being slashed.
So if your in need of a computer this would be a great time to start doing some research, and grab yourself a bargain.
