Global index provider MSCI said it will consider quadrupling the weighting of Chinese big-caps in its global benchmarks and also proposed adding mid-caps and shares listed on Shenzhen's start-up board ChiNext, Reuters reports. On completion of the first phase, China A-shares are expected to make up about 5.5 percent of the FTSE Emerging Index, representing initial passive inflows of $10 billion of asset under management.
