In 2015, Wynne announced a massive expansion of GO Transit over five years including on the Lakeshore corridor, using funds from the partial sale of Hydro One. Midday service has been expanded on weekdays to every 15 minutes between Oshawa and Union Station. Increased service also affects the Kitchener line , which will have an extra morning rush hour train from Malton GO station to Union. (more...)

A second outlet opened yesterday in Immingham, Lincolnshire. Tesco chief executive Dave Lewis said Jack's would sell "great-tasting food at the lowest possible prices with eight out of ten products grown, reared or made in Britain". If Comcast does keep the auction alive, a third and final round will be held, with both companies submitting simultaneous bids. After 164 sessions without a record close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Thursday closed at a record high of 26,656.98, eclipsing its previous record set on January 26. Higher rates typically benefit the financial sector, which was up 1.0 percent. The S&P 500 rose 22 points, or 0.8 percent, to 2,930.
