TfL initially turned down a new London licence for Uber for reasons including contraventions of its licence terms in how it assessed drivers and reported offences to the police. Uber's license had been revoked by the Transport for London it in September for failing to conduct thorough background checks on its drivers. Jason Gargac, who drives for both Uber and Lyft , has given out 700 rides in St Louis since March and the majority of them were broadcast live on Twitch without permission from those inside his auto. Twitch did not comment to the newspaper on the case. Before it disappeared, Gargac's channel had about 4,500 followers and about 100 subscribers who paid $5 a month to support his broadcasts.
