Sterling slipped below $1.30, close to a two-and-a-half-week low but it strengthened against the euro by 0.2%, following Tuesday's 10-month low. The S&P 500 lost 9.74 points, or 0.39 per cent, to 2,465.18. The Nasdaq Composite number was down 16.88 points, or 0.26 per cent, at 6,353.58. In his latest warning to North Korea, U.S. Computer hardware stocks rebounded following recent weakness, with the NYSE Arca Computer Hardware Index climbing by 1.4%.
