Barcelona complete the signing of English prospect Louie Barry

Barcelona: Louie Barry signs from West Brom

The striker has joined the Catalan giants on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee which is thought to be around the £235,000 mark in compensation due to Barry's age and with Barcelona being an overseas club.

"The 16-year-old English striker, signed from West Bromwich Albion, will play for the Under-19s A team".

However, Barca managed to win the race for the 16-year-old's signature, with ESPN FC revealing how they wrestled him away from PSG at the eleventh hour.

"Barry, born in Birmingham, is considered one of the pearls of English football with great potential", the Spanish champions said in a statement.
