A police spokesman said: "Local routes will be affected but Hertfordshire County Council's highways team will be dealing with closures and any diversions".

"As I watched the smoke appeared to get thicker, so much so that we could see the flashing lights of the fire engines reflecting off the thick smoke", he added.

He also said a "strong smell and taste of smoke" filled the air.

Firefighters are pictured at the scene at Warner Bros. "The men are known to each other".
