Cape Town - American president Donald Trump was singing Kim Kardashian's praises during her recent appearance at the White House.

"I'm so happy to announce today we have a ride-share partnership where formerly incarcerated people will be gifted gift cards".

Taking to the stage, alongside the president, Kim said it was "a huge honor" to be at the White House before thanking the president for his "compassion" and help. "I'm at the place in my life where I wanted to make a difference but I didn't know how or what to do". "And I believe they have been pushed a bit by Kim Kardashian", President Trump said. After visiting prisoners, she said, "My heart just completely opened up and I wanted to do more".

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has since registered with the California State Bar to study law to become a fully-fledged lawyer.

"Since the passage of the First Step Act in December, I've been speaking with people coming home from prison and learning about the challenges they are facing", Kim explained on Twitter while en route to the White House.

"I am heading to the White House to speak at the Second Chance Hiring and Re-entry event".
