Reaction to Everton's 2019/20 Premier League fixtures

Championship play-off winners Aston Villa join Norwich and Sheffield United in the top flight this season

As confirmed by the Premier League today with the release of the provisional fixture list, the league season begins with Liverpool versus Norwich at Anfield.

Boxing Day will be another special occasion for Newcastle, too, as we will face Manchester United in our first post-Christmas encounter, having travelled to Anfield to face Liverpool in 2018.

City edged out Liverpool to defend their crown after winning 14 Premier League games in a row in a stunning run of form from February.

This will be our first home fixture on opening weekend since 2010/11.

Arsenal commence the season with a trip to St James' Park to face Rafa Benitez's Newcastle on Sunday August 11th at 2pm before hosting Burnley in their first home match the following weekend.

City and Liverpool are not scheduled to meet until November, which will give both teams a chance to find their Premier League rhythm.

Man City will provide opposition on November 9 (H) and April 4 (A), with the two sides likely to play out another fierce battle for the title.

As the visitors begin the first season of the post-Hazard era, Blues supporters will be hoping new signing Christian Pulisic will begin to show the potential to fill the Belgian's huge boots at Old Trafford.

Manchester United, who are expected to have a much-changed squad will host Brighton, with Arsenal facing a tricky fixture against Crystal Palace.

City only edged Liverpool by a point in last season's thrilling duel but would appear to have the easier run-in this time round should the title go down to the wire once more.
