Lap Leaders: K. Harvick 1-30; K. Busch 31-131; M. Truex Jr 132-194; J. Logano 195-246; M. Truex Jr 247-265; B. Keselowski 266-293; M. Truex Jr 294-318; B. Keselowski 319-321; M. Truex Jr 322-400. This time, however, Logano ran out of time to seal the deal and collect the trophy.

With inspections complete, the official second row of the Toyota Owners 400 starting grid includes Joey Logano and Kyle Busch, with Martin Truex Jr. and Austin Dillon in the third row. A year ago, Truex won four races and finished second in his bid for a second championship.

Truex led a race-high 186 laps and regained the lead for the last time after green-flag pit stops that started with just more than 80 laps to go.

"Definitely the first short-track win is pretty awesome, too", Truex said.

The two have history together; Logano moved Truex on the final lap at the Playoff race in Martinsville last fall, and the move helped Logano win his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

However, when it came time to replicate that charge in the final laps, Logano came up just a little bit short.

"We had a auto that was capable of winning for the third week straight and we didn't win", he said. "We need to clean up some mistakes on our end". We had a great pit stall being first out. Absolutely", he said. "You can go through the whole beginning stretch of the season - we've had a really good stretch to the beginning of this season and unfortunately we're coming up to one of my most favorite race tracks in the world, Talladega, in a couple weeks, that can certainly end that momentum at any particular moment and knock you down off your pedestal or whatever you want to call it.

"We drove up to (Truex), and you get bad tight behind people", he said.

"For me, all three rounds went really good and we had a good race practice", Harvick said. "I saw them coming off the corner sideways every time". They were a little faster than me but I knew they were going to kill their stuff. "I had no front tire and was just real, real tight that last run". Jimmie Johnson was the last driver to finish a season with a double-digit number in 2007. "I was just real tight that last run".

"It is kind of a double-edged sword".

"I just couldn't get there. And all of a sudden Joey ran us down". "Needed a few more laps".

Harvick was sixth in the first round, second to Kyle Busch in the second round and first with the pole at stake. Besides his success in the Cup series, Busch has started four races in the Truck series and won them all, and won three of four Xfinity races.
