Epic Games Has Reportedly Hired Infinity Ward Co-Founder Jason West

Infinity Ward and Respawn co-founder Jason West has joined Epic Games – report

The information was supplied by a tweet made by veteran gaming journalist Geoff Keighley.

At the moment, those efforts primarily revolve around Fortnite.

It seems Epic Games could have landed a rather big new name recently if a new report is to be believed.

After a falling out with Activision, West and Zampella founded Respawn Entertainment.

According to a tweet from Geoff Keighley, West has apparently been at Epic Games for around a month already, which could mean the ex-Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment co-founder may already be working on something new. What that could be, however, is unknown. There they created the Titanfall series of shooters for EA. It was not clear whaat Jason West was set to do after leaving Respawn. While West was at Infinity Ward, the developer worked on Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Even though Epic is now known for the mega-hit Fortnite, they'll surely continue to make more titles in the future, especially with how much revenue Fortnite has brought in for the company.

Call of Duty should be familiar to everyone, but West was also responsible for getting the original Titanfall off the ground (he left Respawn in 2013 before it released). Considering his pedigree, it's not hard to see why.
