Video shows Chelsea Clinton berated for her 'rhetoric' for causing mosque shootings

Video of Chelsea Clinton being confronted by several students who claimed her "rhetoric" had "stoked" the New Zealand mosque attacks went viral on Saturday - and allowed for an unexpected bipartisan moment.

"It's sickening to see people blame @ChelseaClinton for the NZ attacks because she spoke out against anti-Semitism", Trump tweeted. The students appear to have been angry that she, herself the wife of a Jewish man, had admonished antisemitism following remarks made by Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who some believed were antisemitic in nature.

In an effort to defuse the tense situation, Clinton apologized several times, although she was continually interrupted.

"We should all be condemning anti-Semitism and all forms of hate", he wrote.

Last month, Clinton had criticized Omar's tweet suggesting that American politicians were paid to be pro-Israel.

Clinton has Omar, who suggested that Jewish political lobbying organizations paid United States politicians for their support of Tel Aviv, which many perceived as an expression of anti-Semitism. "And I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep down inside".

The daughter of President Trump's former White House campaign rival, Ms. Clinton was confronted Friday evening at New York University and accused of having "stoked" the hatred that resulted in dozens of Muslims being massacred hours earlier at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand's third-largest city. "Anyone who doesn't understand this is part of the problem", Donald Jr.'s tweet read.

Clinton - clearly taken aback - tried to respond, saying "I'm so sorry you feel that way".

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, a prominent conservative commentator, agreed and said the blame lies exclusively with the gunman.

"We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism", Chelsea tweeted, joining a choir of condemnation. He has been arrested and charged with one count of murder in connection with the attacks.
