Boeing has secured more than 300 orders for its new 777X aircraft from global airlines such as Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways.

According to The New York Times, air traffic controllers observed the Ethiopian Airlines plane "oscillating up and down by hundreds of feet" prior to the crash.

Passengers on board will also notice a difference in the size of the cabin, which will be four inches wider than Boeing's current models. "I'm climbing back up", he said in the simulator.

Boeing will fine-tune its MCAS system - implicated in the crash of a Lion Air 737 MAX 8 in Indonesia in October - within 10 days, said two sources, who cautioned that the cause of the latest crash has yet to be determined.

The return of remains - most of which are charred and fragmented - would take up to six months, the papers said, but in the meantime earth from the crash site would be given.

The move came after a growing number of airlines and countries decided not to fly the planes or ban them from their airspace until it is determined there are no safety issues.

Air Canada announced on Friday that it would suspend its financial guidance for the first quarter and full year of 2019 due to uncertainty caused by the suspension of Max 8 flights and Boeing's recent decision to pause deliveries to airline customers.
