Scouting report: Washington's victory over Arizona on Thursday stretched the Huskies' winning streak to 12 games. Dropping games to Vanderbilt, Princeton and Washington State on Thursday were all bad losses.

The Huskies are still in control of the Pac-12 race, but will have to regroup after a dud in the desert.

Arizona Wildcats (14-9, 5-5): What a difference a few weeks make. They played with more energy and were better at both ends of the floor against the first-place Huskies, building an 18-point lead before holding off a late Washington charge. The two times prior were during the 1981-82 and 2006-07 seasons. The Huskies didn't let it bother them, however, going on a 7-0 run to recapture the lead, 36-30.

"They get too far spread out on the top and leave the bottom open, and I feel like that is how I got a lot of my points", White said.

The Huskies took away ASU's perimeter game (6 of 17 on three-pointers), forced 24 turnovers and kept the game within reach for most of the night. Their last seven opponents have been under 70 points and they'll be in a great position to win if they can make that eight games. Jaylen Nowell continues to play well, contributing 12 points on six of ten from the floor.

McDonald had six rebounds and six assists.

With under 13 minutes to play the Cougars had a 16 point lead. Nahziah Carter scored 10 points as well, adding four rebounds in 29 minutes off of the bench.

Priyanka Gandhi makes political debut in Uttar Pradesh

With a pair of free throws from senior guard Justin Coleman, Arizona reduced WSU's lead to single digits once again.

Edwards bounced back nicely against Washington, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting with eight rebounds.

Luther 3-9 2-2 11, Jeter 0-5 0-0 0, Smith 3-8 2-2 10, Randolph 1-6 0-2 2, Coleman 5-14 3-4 14, Lee 2-3 0-2 4, Doutrive 3-8 4-8 10, Barcello 2-6 0-0 4. He shot horribly from the field, going two of thirteen and missing all six attempts from behind the arc. We tried to focus on not shooting outside shots and just trying to go inside and beat them in the paint. The team shot an astronomical 61.7 percent from the field, thanks in no small part to the penetration of sophomore guard Remy Martin.

Washington State's Robert Franks followed up his career-high 34-point effort at Arizona State on Thursday with another 34 points in a 69-55 win Saturday over Arizona in a Pac-12 basketball game at Tucson, Ariz. They get the chance to build on the momentum gained tonight next week as they hit the road to take on Colorado and Utah. Hurley lamented his team's shooting and shot selection, so he made the players end every drill in Friday's with a pass or by throwing the ball out of bounds.

For the Huskies not to win the Pac-12 title, they would have to suffer a total collapse the rest of the way.

Franks should be a safe bet for Pac-12 player of the week and Washington State is nobody's pushover if the Cougars can match these types of performances, beginning with a home game next week against Pac-12 leader Washington.
