The Rock Debunks 'Generation Snowflake' Comments; "The Interview Never Happened"

Dwayne Johnson More

Former World renowned wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, has mocked the "snowflake generation" for "looking for reasons to be offended" by everything. "And that's not who I am, and it's not what we do".

Daily Star was the outlet that published an "interview" of The Rock in which he says people nowadays are always offended if someone doesn't agree with them and it's not the type of freedom and equality the generations before fought for.

"So to the millennials, the interview never happened". Completely untrue. 100% fabricated (laughs). "The interview never took place".

'To the plurals, the baby boomers, the snowflake generation, I don't even know where that term came from, the Tequila Generation, that's a generation I just started, that's a good one, you'll want to join it.

Regardless of the context, which we'll nearly certainly hear more about in the days to come, it's hardly a great time for Johnson to throw down this particular gauntlet, especially when those snowflakes will become the biggest voting generation in the U.S. whenever the Boomers finally cede their grasp on the population majority.

He also wrote the following on Instagram with a video, seen below, explaining how he did not make the comments.

Wrestler turned worldwide movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson body-slammed a British tabloid on Friday for posting what he called a "fabricated" interview featuring him bashing "snowflakes".

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Dwayne added: "We thankfully now live in a world that has progressed over the last 30 or 40 years".

'That can only be a good thing, but generation snowflake or, whatever you want to call them, are actually putting us backwards'. Johnson acknowledges that people should be free to speak their minds on whatever issues they choose to address but they should think first.
