Amazon cloud gaming service to release in 2020

Report: Amazon is developing its own game streaming service

Now, Amazon is throwing its hat into the game-streaming ring, according to a report from The Information.

Unsurprisingly, Amazon wants to get in on the game streaming business early, which is seen by many as the future of the video games industry.

Two sources told the publication that Amazon was looking to enter the cloud gaming market in 2020. Citing "two people briefed on the plans", The Information reports that the service likely won't launch until next year at the earliest. This service, as with PS Now, will reportedly allow customers to stream video games over the Internet, making it possible to access titles without paying for them individually.

Italy’s Salvini seeks to build new European order with Poles
However, Poland's skepticism of Salvini's friendly approach to Russian Federation could be an impediment to collaboration. But Polish authorities stressed that no agreement had been reached.

The idea is that the service will handle all the heavy computing needed to run graphics-intensive games in the cloud, and then stream it to your computer or mobile device so your experience is indistinguishable from running those titles natively on a high-end gaming system.

Should the service pan out, however, Amazon would nearly certainly include it on Amazon Fire TV Edition screens and Amazon Fire TV devices, plus tablets and smartphones.

The Verge was able to track down some Amazon job listings to corroborate the report, where the company is now hiring at least two engineers in Seattle and California specifically to work on "Cloud Games", with a third post saying that Amazon has a new game business planned.
