Ramsey to have Juventus medical

2:20 We take a look at Aaron Ramsey's best Premier League goals for Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has reportedly agreed to join Serie A giants Juventus at the end of the season.

Ramsey will leave Arsenal on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season - and we reported last week that a move to Juventus was his preferred choice.

The Welsh star is expected to pocket £7.2m annually with a weekly wage of £140,000 making him Bianconerri second most top earner. Ramsey will be the club's second highest paid player after Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo (€ 31 million per year).

However, Ramsey's destination could have been very different, with BBC Sport reporting that Bale encouraged his Wales teammate to link up with him at the Bernabeu.

Ramsey might have been convinced to move to Spain had Barcelona shown any interest - with his boyhood dream to play for the Catalans - but they never pursued him after preliminary talks. The Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, also had major reservations about both Özil and Ramsey fitting into his plans and the style he wants to play.
