2.0 enters Rs 500 crore club in worldwide box office collections

The film starring Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in lead roles opened to packed screens on November 29 and has gone on to become the first Tamil film to gross 500 Cr worldwide. "500 crores worldwide! We at @DharmaMovies are so proud to be associated with the HINDI version of this movie marvel!"

On day 6, the film collected about Rs 488 crores.

Trade analyst and film critics Ramesh Bala took to his official Twitter handle to share the latest figures of the superhit 2.0.

"He wrote, "#2Point0 continues its winning streak. The film is one of the most expensive Indian film which also is a standalone sequel to 2010's Enthiran. The project is backed by the strong technical contributions of music director A.R. Rahman, production designer T. Muthuraj, cinematographer Nirav Shah, VFX Supervisor Sreenivasan and editor Antony among others.
