Dan Aykroyd Revives Talks of Ghostbusters 3

Ghostbusters

The mention of Bill Murray playing a ghost has Bloody Disgusting thinking that the script being used might be the one that features Sigourney Weaver's on-screen son Oscar from Ghostbusters II as a grown post-grad student who inherits the Ghostbusters business after Peter Venkman dies in the first scene, hence Bill Murray playing a ghost in the movie.

There's a Ghostbusters III in the works and GB original Dan Akroyd thinks "the story is really good". Aykroyd and co-writer Harold Ramis (who also played Dr. Egon Spengler) picked it up years ago but stopped once Ramis got sick.

He said: "There is a possibility of a reunion with the three remaining Ghostbusters, It's being written right now". It's being written right now'.

Aykroyd even believes co-star Bill Murray will don the famed tan jumpsuit once again. "Even if he plays a ghost", he said, potentially referring to a theory that Murray could play a ghost in the new film.

It has always been rumored that a third installment was being considered and talk that it would center around Oscar, the lovechild of Dana (Sigourney Weaver) and Peter Venkman (Murray), who has to take over the business after his dad dies.

EE confirms 5G launch cities
And while this is an EE announcement, we may well see 5G offered by BT Mobile at around the same time, since BT owns EE. Each 5G site will boast transmission links of up to 10Gbps and connect to the Petabit-class BT 21CN backbone network.

And with the release of the gender-swap Ghostbusters in 2016 and Ramis' passing, it looked like a third film with the original cast was truly dead and buried - until now. Murray had previously said he wouldn't return to the series.

'It was clear he just didn't want to engage, ' Reitman told Variety. He wanted to do smaller roles where he didn't have to take on the weight of the lead'. However, Dan Akyroyd seems to have renewed faith that Ghostbusters 3 will happen.

Will Sigourney Weaver be involved in the next instalment?

Apparently the 2016 Paul Feig-helmed Ghostbusters reboot starring Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy didn't kill the dream of a Ghostbusters 3 (as much as Aykroyd has implied).
