Facebook down Social network goes dark

Facebook appeared to be suffering an unexplained outage, as millions of users on the East Coast of the United States received a message "Sorry, something went wrong" when trying to access the social network.

"Sorry, something went wrong", the error message read.

Facebook has not said what caused the outage.

We've received multiple reports that Facebook's products aren't working properly.
