Apple to unveil iPad, MacBook laptop overhauls

October 30 also date of Apple's Mac and iPad Pro event

Specifically, the MacBook Air is expected to be refreshed at this event.

Just slightly over a month since Apple had introduced the new iPhone trio, the Cupertino company will be having another special event in less than two weeks' time. It is, however, the second Apple product launch outside of California this year. This time around, the event is slated to take place on October 30 at the Howard Gilman Opera House in NY.

The new iPad Pro most probably will keep the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes as the predecessor, but everything else will undergo changes. Apple analysts, including Ming-Chi Kuo, believe the company will shrink down the bezels around the iPad Pro's display, ditch the Home button and add a TrueDepth front camera similar to the one that appears on current iPhone X models. And the new tablets will also have the Smart Connector in a new spot, this time on the back of the device rather than the side.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry talk baby names on Melbourne tram
It was a stark contrast to the time her sister-in-law Catherine kept her shoes on while visiting Manly beach. The couple was in Melbourne Thursday, where they were asked if they had any baby names in mind.

The new iPads will inherit features from the latest iPhones, bringing Face ID and a almost all-screen look to the company's tablets for the first time, people familiar with the product told Bloomberg earlier this year. Maybe we'll also see some new Mac Minis.

On its website, Apple said the event will be live streamed.

Apple could give release details for AirPower, a wireless charger for iPhones and Apple Watches announced previous year, as well as second-generation AirPods headphones that work with it. The show will will kick off at 10am ET and as the numerous different invites sent to the media, including Pocket-lint, point out, will focus on creativity.
