Cindy Torok was trying travel on flight 1612 from Orlando to Cleveland Tuesday. "When she refused to deplane Orlando Police were called and requested that everyone be deplaned so they could deal with the passenger".
The flyer told the USA -based airline before she arrived at the airport that she would be bringing the animal but when they realised it was a squirrel they refused to let her on the plane.
Frontier Airlines released a statement saying "Rodents, including squirrels, are not allowed on Frontier flights". Soon after authorities arrived, all of the passengers on the flight were deplaned and Torok and her pet were taken off the aircraft.
Because flying is an absolutely terrifying experience for a lot of people, emotional support animals are permitted on most United States airlines - but after a couple of, well, quite disturbing incidents, they've had to be pretty careful about which animals they allow to fly in the cabin.
Torok claims that she had a letter from her doctor and a letter from the Americans with Disabilities Act permitting her to travel with Daisy as a comfort animal.
Torok was able to catch a flight to Cleveland the next day but she had to do it without her squirrel.
