Samsung’s foldable phone will be a meaningful one: DJ Koh

Samsung's foldable smartphone could work like tablet

He has reportedly confirmed that the Samsung foldable device will work as a tablet users could fold into a smartphone that can fit into a pocket. Still, D.J. Koh, CEO of Samsung's mobile business, continues to talk about the product and the concept.

According to the report based on the interview with Koh, the foldable phone would be available globally and would not "disappear after six to nine months after it's delivered".

As a reminder, it's already been reported the phone will have the form factor of something like a book, with a display that folds vertically.

The rumor mill keeps churning so rapidly about Samsung's much-hyped, much-delayed foldable phone that it's starting to look like Galaxy F (for fast) may be the flawless name for this quick generator of interest among tech bloggers. We might get a glimpse of a prototype in the near future, but a final product might be months away. He is also positive that we do need foldable phones.

Pope Francis Accepts D.C. Cardinal Wuerl’s Resignation
The Vatican court later sided with then-Bishop Wuerl and Father Cipolla, who has since died, was kept out of ministry. By resigning, McGuire suggested that the cardinal would be displaying "a very serious and elegant act of leadership".

Well, he also said that whenever the company delivers the foldable phone it should be meaningful for the customers and if the experience for the users is not up to the mark, there is no use of delivering that kind of products and he doesn't want to deliver that kind of products.

"Possibly when we start selling the foldable phone, it may be a niche market, but definitely, it will expand".

When first Galaxy Note was unveiled, Koh says that the rivals considered the handset to be a useless product, especially with its very big screen. Giving examples of how the company's Galaxy Note lineup paved the way for larger handsets from rivals like Apple and Google, Koh hinted that the foldable phone would allow for display sizes of over 6.5-inches.
