Detroit Tigers broadcasters Mario Impemba and Rod Allen won't return

Rod Allen and Mario Impemba interview Carlos Guillen

Multiple media outlets are reporting that longtime Detroit Tigers TV announcers Mario Impemba and Rod Allen will not return to the booth for the 2019 season.

Now the two have apparently lost their jobs.

While the Detroit Tigers have a lot of work to do this offseason after barely winning 60 games on the season, there will be one change that is official.

The pair were suspended this past month for an altercation that took place in the broadcast booth on September 4 when they were covering a game in Chicago.

The end of their lengthy run is not surprising: Both Allen and Impemba did not appear on the air for the remainder of the season after the incident. Allen's agent called those accusations "utter fabrications".
