Bryant to visit ACC school this weekend

Kelly Bryant plans visit to North Carolina Tar Heels

Bryant, who left the Tigers' football team after losing his starting job four games into this season, is enrolled in classes at Clemson this semester and plans to be a graduate transfer who will be able to enroll at his new school in January.

One of the top players set to hit the college football transfer market could choose to stay in the same conference.

Former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant is planning to visit Arkansas later this month, according to a report in The State newspaper in SC. As they like to say, though, life comes as you fast.

Bryant played the first four games of the season, but was replaced as quarterback before the team's game against Syracuse after Lawrence threw four touchdown passes the week before against Georgia Tech. Once Lawrence was named the starter, Bryant immediately missed back-to-back practices.

Venezuelan lawmaker Fernando Alban has died while in detention, the government said Monday, although the reasons for his death remain contested.

Earlier this week, it was reported Bryant scheduled a visit to North Carolina. The senior played in only four games in 2018; as everyone knows now, this means the former Clemson Tiger can preserve his final year of eligibility - the 2019 season. The South Carolina native went 16-2 as a starter and took Clemson to the College Football Playoff a year ago, but struggled in a semifinal loss to Alabama.

Bryant served as a backup to Deshaun Watson at Clemson for two years. During his career at Clemson, has also run for 987 yards and 16 touchdowns on 257 carries.

Bryant told Rivals.com that he will follow his unofficial visit to Chapel Hill up with an official visit to Arkansas for the Razorbacks game against Tulsa on October 20. He had a 16-2 record as a starter for Clemson.
