Audi unveils electric all-wheel drive e-tron SUV

Audi Sport e-tron GT concept set for 2018 LA auto show

SAN FRANCISCO-When the e-tron, Audi A.G.'s first fully electric sport utility vehicle, arrives in the US next year, it will be rolling on Goodyear tires.

Through the partnership, USA e-tron customers who receive energy bills from their local utility can offset their home electricity consumption by supporting renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar.

Audi is officially launched its Audi e-tron this week in San Francisco.

Intel's Shooting Star drones have featured in many drone light shows to date, and the computing giant now holds the world record for the largest number of drones flown in unison when it celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this year.

The Audi e-tron appears much like any other of the German brand's SUVs.

Before E-Tron, German brands like Mercedes-Benz pulled the curtain apart earlier this September to announce the coming of its own electric SUV, the Mercedes-Benz EQC - the auto touted to take Tesla head on. Beyond the 20-inch "Tron" wheels and new design accents flanking the brand's iconic octagonal grille, the E-Tron's looks are not likely to stand out on an Audi showroom. This includes other European premium companies such as BMW, Daimler-controlled Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo Cars. Depending on the driving style and conditions, the e-tron offers a range of up to 310 miles. "I need Audi to be the number-one electric vehicle company in the USA for a long term", claimed Scott Keogh, President at Audi of America, to the media in a statement this week.

On the other hand, an intelligent civilization could have evolved over the aeons on a planet circling 40 Eridani. Scientists discovered the planet using the 50-inch Dharma Endowment Foundation Telescope (DEFT) located atop Mt.

The company claims that the e-tron has a range of 400 kilometres in a single full-charge which is quite sufficient for most of the markets, including India where the charging infrastructure is is still in nascent stage.

The fact that Audi introduced its new SUV model, the E-tron, in California and not anywhere in Europe, may seem surprising at first glance. Audi also has a $1,000 charging station which customers can have installed in their own garages. Amazon will deliver the hardware and hire electricians to install them through its Amazon Home Services operation. By July 2019, this network will include almost 500 fast-charging sites complete or under development throughout 40 states and 17 metro areas.

Electrify America group, a Volkswagen-funded firm, will install charging stations in the country.

Audi said that the e-tron would be "a standard bearer for the latest Audi design philosophy". It's two electric motors are powered by a 95 kWh battery pack, which accelerate the crossover to 60 miles per hour in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 124 miles per hour, according to Audi. The Hungarian factory building motors for the e-tron will start with a production pace equivalent to 200 vehicles a day, Audi officials said.

Now, what the Q8 doesn't have is the e-tron's fancy Virtual Mirror setup, which consists of small cameras replacing traditional mirrors, sending live images to a pair of displays embedded in the door panels. That feature is still not approved by U.S. regulators.
