Reality TV dating show doctor, woman charged with California drug rapes

But, on September 18, the Newport Beach doctor became famous for all the wrong reasons when he and Cerissa were both charged with drugging and raping two women and filming the assault of at least one, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

According to KTLA, 38-year-old Grant William Robicheaux and his friend, 31-year-old Cerissa Laura Riley, are expected to face charges including rape by use of drugs, oral copulation by controlled substance, assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense, and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. Robicheaux was also charged with two counts of possession of an assault weapon.

On Oct. 2, 2016, the defendants allegedly drank alcohol with another woman at a Newport Beach bar until she was unconscious, brought her to Robicheaux's apartment and sexually assaulted her.

In April 2016, officials said the pair met a 32-year-old woman at a Newport Beach restaurant and invited her to a boat party, but they took her to Robicheaux's apartment once she was intoxicated before assaulting her.

The pair allegedly gave the victim multiple drugs and then sexually assaulted her while she was incapable of resisting.

Neither of the victims were patients of Robicheaux, but authorities are investigating whether or not he assaulted patients.

But investigators believe there may be a host of other victims.

Authorities are reviewing videos and photos found on the surgeon's phone, indicating there may be many other possible victims out there, Orange County District Attorney's Office officials announced Tuesday.

He once appeared on the Bravo cable network's reality TV show Online Dating Rituals of the American Male.

Mr Robicheaux is an orthopaedic surgeon from Newport Beach, 45 miles (72km) south of Los Angeles.

Robicheaux was an undergraduate at Louisiana State University and then graduated from its medical school in 2007, Rackauckas said.

Robicheaux also studied at UC Irvine in Orange.

Thandie Newton’s Excitement At Winning Her First Emmy Was Too Much
Continuing in that vein, Newton opined, "I am so blessed; I am so blessed". "I am so blessed". The excited actress also talked about her 18-year-old daughter.

He added: "There are several videos where the women in the videos appear to be highly intoxicated beyond the ability to consent or resist and they are barely responsive to the defendants' sexual advances".

"Based on this evidence, we believe that there might be many unidentified victims out there", Rackauckas told reporters this week.

The district attorney said events and places the pair may have travelled to since 2015 include the Burning Man festival in Nevada, the Dirtybird Campout festival in Silverado, California, the Splash House festival in Palm Springs, and landmarks near Page, Arizona.

Riley is an aspiring teacher who worked occasionally as a substitute teacher in Fullerton, Senior Deputy District Attorney Michael Carroll said.

The two alleged victims "might have felt a false sense of security" with the pair because they are "clean cut and good looking, " Rackauckas said.

The two alleged victims have contacted investigators, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said.

Mr Robicheaux and Ms Riley are accused of possessing a large quantity of drugs, including GHB (considered a date-rape drug), psychedelic mushrooms, ecstasy and cocaine.

It is "not a viable defense to say they voluntarily ingested the drugs, " Rackauckas said.

Glamorous couple Grant Robicheaux and Cerissa Riley have been hit with some ugly criminal charges, after being accused of plying women with drugs and allegedly sexually assaulting them.

Both defendants are accused of rape by use of drugs in that case.

They are not believed to have used medical anesthetic-type of drugs, Rackauckas said.

A message left at Robicheaux's office wasn't immediately returned Tuesday, and a home number listed for him did not have a voicemail.
