Marilyn Manson collapsed on stage Saturday night

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson had to cut his show in Houston, Texas short on Saturday after collapsing on stage in front of a almost sold-out crowd.

Manson reportedly regained composure for "Antichrist Superstar", before exiting the stage and cancelling what remained of the performance. According to the Guardian, Manson returned to the stage for one more song after "Sweet Dreams" but cut his performance short after that. No cause for the rocker's illness has been revealed, but rumors say it was a combination of food poisoning and heat exhaustion.

Rob Zombie, who is supporting Manson on the "Twins of Evil: The Second Coming Tour", came on stage after Manson left and performed a cover of The Beatles's "Helter Skelter", traditionally played alongside Manson, by himself.

The Eagles surpass Michael Jackson for best-selling USA album of all time

Manson is due to perform in Denver on Monday night. He's probably on the bus feeling like crap. The singer was performing "Sweet Dreams" at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas - an outer suburb of Houston - when his knees gave way, and he collapsed onto some sound equipment. Roadies could be seen on the side of the stage worriedly contemplating on whether or not to assist him. According to the Houston Press, Zombie said "My dear friend Mr. Manson is feeling under the weather".

When he eventually felt well enough to resume performing, he used a wheelchair.

Later, Manson tweeted out he ended up in "doctor's care".
