Daniel Bryan On His Contract Status with WWE

Daniel Bryan Says He's Almost Certain to Re-Sign With WWE In Next Few Weeks

It's very likely I'll re-sign with WWE.

In a post-WrestleMania interview, Bryan revealed that his existing deal with WWE was set to expire on September 01, 2018.

This is according to the man himself, who, during a recent appearance on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, claimed that the chances of him staying are "90-plus percent", adding that "it's very likely I'll re-sign with WWE". With Chris Jericho wrestling for various promotions around the world while remaining a WWE guy, many have wondered if Bryan could follow a similar path. Bryan is scheduled to face The Miz at this Sunday's WWE SummerSlam PPV.

"Yeah, I would like to see the wrestling world be a little bit more open and I think Chris Jericho has kind of done that in a sense". The reality is that's the probability.

"I have not re-signed yet, but it could happen as soon as the end of this week, and it might be a couple more weeks or whatever it is".

Bryan also mentioned that on his new deal, he doesn't want to be wrestling on a full-time schedule so that he can be home with his family, while also stating he has no interest in wrestling 200 matches a year.

Bryan did note that he had yet to officially re-sign as of the show's recording date (6 August), but his words will offer encouragement to those hoping he sticks around.
