Cardiff City make move for Bournemouth's Harry Arter

Harry Arter

Cardiff City have expressed an interest in landing AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, according to reports.

The 28-year-old made 13 appearances in the Premier League last season, netting one goal against Huddersfield during the Cherries' 4-0 victory in November 2017.

That was the latest this morning but it soon transpired that Cardiff would be the likely destination once personal terms could be agreed and a medical passed.

Arter has been a tremendous servant for Bournemouth, so he could definitely prove to be a shrewd signing for any of the four clubs reportedly interested.

"The transfer has been very long because it took a while for the clubs to reach an agreement, but the most important thing is that I am here now and everyone got what they wanted in the end", Lerma told the club website. "I am looking forward to success and doing important things for this club". With all that we've achieved it would be sad if there was.

"I have always loved the Premier League style of football and am very happy to have this opportunity".

The Ireland midfielder is on the move but set to stay in the top flight. "If I am to play again for Bournemouth, I'll always give my all for him and the club".

The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland worldwide last played a Premier League game for the Cherries on January 1.

The Bournemouth midfielder has been linked with an exit from Dean Court before the Premier League transfer window for permanent deals closes on Thursday.
