Shortly before its theatrical bow, Fahrenheit 11/9 - a pseudo-sequel to Moore's anti-George W. Bush documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 - is set to world-premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival in early September.

The new owners of Homebase will reveal plans to close up to 60 stores next week, putting up to 1,500 jobs at risk. According to Sky News , Alvarex & Marsal will launch the CVA proposal early next week.

Moore, an Academy Award-winning director, is helming the film.

Moore, who is known for his antagonistic style, calls Trump the "last president of the United States" and follows his election campaign in 2016, his first year in office, and how Trump's victory has led to division and confrontation in the USA over issues of immigration, the far right, fake news, and white supremacy. Stop hoping for a magic solution that will thwart him. That movie only played in theaters for one night, and it correctly predicted that Trump would win the presidency in a time when very few people believed that was even a remote possibility. Over a year after that letter's publication, things haven't changed, which is why Moore made a documentary about the Trump administration. His new documentary's title is a reference to that film and the day after Trump was voted into office: November 9, 2016. No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. "No matter what you throw at him, it hasn't worked", says Moore. "This is the movie that will end the madness".

It's the latest offering from Moore aimed directly at the effect of Trump following on from his filmed one-man talk Michael Moore in TrumpLand and his Broadway show The Terms of My Surrender.
