Police at 'Skripal' Zizzi restaurant in Salisbury

Part of Salisbury has been evacuated after a man "fell ill" this evening.

In March Sergei and Yulia visited the same Italian restaurant before becoming seriously ill and it is believed they came into conctact with the deadly nerve agent Novichok.

It comes after a mum who was exposed to a Russian nerve agent in the area died this week.

"We would like to reiterate, this is not connected to the ongoing major incident in Amesbury and Salisbury".

He was taken to a hospital, police said, confirming that there was no risk to his health or the wider public.

Wiltshire Police said they were "taking highly precautionary measures" in dealing with the incident involving a man in his 30s because of the ongoing situation in the city and nearby Amesbury, in Wiltshire.

'While we do not want people to be alarmed, we hope you understand the reasons behind this and we will update you when we have any further information.
