World Cup marred by'significant sexism on the streets

"We've done it with our host broadcast services".

Sexism has been a bigger problem than racism at the World Cup in Russian Federation, with more than 30 cases reported, Piara Powar, executive director of the Fare network, said on Wednesday.

"I feel for Qatar, because (Russia) has set the bar very, very high", Samoura, referring to the next World Cup in four years' time, said at a meeting with Valentina Matviyenko, speaker of the upper house of Russia's parliament.

Powar added there had been several cases of female reporters being grabbed or kissed whilst on air.

"There are many interesting stories to tell about the World Cup and we acknowledge this was not one of them", it said.
